Your Pets Pals seeks permission for Bolton daycare

Your Pets Pals has applied to Bolton Council to change the use of a former warehouse and associated land for a doggy daycare with a secure outdoor area and pet food shop.

The warehouse, at Tonge Fold Mill on Clegg Street, Bolton, previously had an industrial use but has recently become vacant.

The company said it may run a pick-up and drop-off service from the facility and the enclosed area will be used for controlled exercise and for training exercises.

The application adds that the facility will be staffed at a maximum ratio of one staff member per 10 dogs, as is required by licensing regulations.

The application concludes: “The nature of the proposed activity and the location of the site, and its separation from residential properties, the proposed use will not give rise to issues of noise disturbance that would constitute grounds to withhold a grant of planning permission/change of use application.”

Bolton Council has yet to decide on the application.
