Warwickshire trainer launches foodbank for dog owners
Warwickshire dog trainer Andy O’Brien, who runs The K9 Club, has set up a foodbank service for pet owners who are struggling after the cost of living soars.
O’Brien, who is currently donating food from his own stock, welcomes donations of wet and dry dog food and treats which can be dropped off at his store.
He told CoventryLive : “It has been busy – we have so much stuff donated. There are all sorts of people that have lost their jobs due to Covid or people that have had their benefits stopped or changed or their hours at work have changed because of stuff so we just need to try and push it out to more places so more people can use it.”
The foodbank is being run with an honesty criteria so people just need to get in touch with K9 Club and it will provide food for their dog.
