Additional dog controls are to be considered by West Northamptonshire Council. The council will next week (19 September) review the public spaces protection order (PSPO) that is currently in place in Daventry and South Northants areas, with a view to it also covering Northampton area. If approved, the new order will come into force on 3 October 2023 and run until October 2025. West Northamptonshire Council has temporarily suspended its new rule banning dog walkers from taking out more than four pets at once until talks with dog walkers can be held.
Daventry dog walkers fight PSPO
Molly Everett, who runs Molly 4 Paws, has started an online petition calling for professional dog walkers to continue to be allowed to walk six dogs at a time after West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) introduced a public space protection order (PSPO) on 1 November.
