    Dog owners set to spend £1.3bn on Christmas presents for pets

    British dog owners are expected to spend more than £1.3bn on gifts for their pets this Christmas, new research reveals. The study by charity Guide Dogs shows 54% of Brits confessed to being worried about the cost of presents this year, but dog owners in the UK are still expected to spend an average of £101 on gifts for their pets. The research finds that 38% admit to saving throughout the year to fund their dogs’ presents, while 36% will cut back on how many people they give Christmas gifts to prioritise the canines.
