Suffolk dog park opens
Sotherton Dog Meadow near Halesworth, in Suffolk, has officially opened.
The three-acre meadow features logs and tunnels to keep dogs entertained and has 6ft skirted fencing and a gated car park and entrance for security.
One visitor said: “So much thought has obviously gone into setting this facility up and my two dogs and I were really impressed. I booked it for 50 minutes and they didn’t stop the whole time we were there. The secure parking compound is such a good idea and will be excellent for people with dogs that are nervous or reactive.
“My two loved the tree trunks, the tunnels and the filled tyres, but probably enjoyed the pond area the most. Lots of poo bins around so definitely no excuses for not picking up the poo.”
Visitors can book their slot in advance on Sotherton Dog Meadow’s website. Prices start at £5 for 25 minutes session with one dog.
