West Midlands council plans new country park
Solihull Council has unveiled plans for a new country park, with a dog walking loop and nature trail.
The country park area would be created at Frog Lane in Balsall Common, which is a plot of land previously bought by the council.
The planning documents state: “The proposals involve the creation of wider, fenced footpaths on land at Frog Lane, Balsall Common, which will loop round and connect with existing public access routes.
βThe footpaths will be suitable for dog walkers, with the fences separating the footpath safely from adjoining farmland.β
The proposed nature trail will include hedgerows, trees and the creation of natural ponds. The trail would be suitable and safe for dog walkers too, the plans state.
Plans for the park are currently under public consultation, which closes on 6 November.
