Skipton dog walking field plans approved
Plans for a new secure dog-walking facility in Skipton, North Yorkshire, have been given the green light.
North Yorkshire Council has given the plan, which will see the field used both for agricultural purposes and for dog walking, the go-ahead. The facility does not have parking.
A council report says: “Skipton does not have a dedicated dog walking field, and for those who wish to exercise their dogs this way they must drive out of town to the likes of Marton Meadow at West Marton, Higher Ground at Hellifield, Blossoms Field at Cowling or Wharfedale Doggy Play Park at Addingham.”
In conclusion, the report says the scheme will benefit Skipton dog walkers, will provide a secure location for them to safely exercise dogs, and will support an existing farm business through diversification.
