Sitter holds charity dog walk

A Swindon pet sitter is hosting a charity dog walk next month to raise funds for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

Megan Ody, owner of PawWalks, will charge £3 per dog or £5 for a pair of animals to take in the charity walk. She is currently expecting more than 30 dogs to take part.

Ody said: “I just wanted to get all of my clients together to raise some money for a good cause and get some exercise.

“I have chosen Battersea as they are a great charity to raise money for. They really help animals out so it seems apt to choose them.”

The dog walk will take place at 12pm on 12 March at the Lydiard House in Lydiard Park, Swindon, and is expected to last about an hour.

Ody added: “This is the first time that I have done anything like this, but if it is a success then I would very much like to do it again.”
