Secure dog field could open on Ardersier farm

Plans for a new secure dog field in Ardersier, in the Highlands, have been unveiled.

The proposal would see land at Kylerona Farm, north of the village, turned into the dog walking facility.

The plans include a dedicated parking area and upgrades to the existing farm track to improve access to the site.

Sessions will typically be on an hourly basis, with 15-minute intervals between bookings to allow for customers to vacate the site, and opening hours are expected to be from 9am to 4pm in winter months and from 9am to 7pm in summer.

The facility would operate an online booking system and have a maximum number of customers restricted to six for any one session.

The plans will be under consultation until 10 March.
