Preston trainer raises funds for rescue charity
Preston-based dog trainer Meera Puppins has helped raised £100 by hosting a Santa Paws charity dog walk.
The festive walk was hosted with the aim of raising much-needed funds for north-west rescue charity Homeless Hounds.
She told Blog Preston: “To raise £100 in the current economic climate is absolutely amazing, and testament to the kindness and generosity of my clients, their friends and family members.”
The dog trainer is also urging owners to ensure their puppy or dog’s microchip details are kept up to date.
She said: “If the details are not up to date, your dog could end up in the pound, where they can only be kept for seven days.
“Without charities like Homeless Hounds to help rescue them, there is a very real likelihood that your dog could be put to sleep if you, as their owner, cannot be successfully contacted.”
