Planners approve West Yorkshire dog walking facility
Councillors have given the go-ahead for a new dog walking field near Moor Top Lane, Huddersfield.
Shauni Macken, of Happy Meadows, applied for planning permission to use her land for the facility.
The land will have two pens built on it which can be booked by dog walkers. Each pen can accommodate up to five dogs, with a maximum of 10 being allowed on the premises at any one time.
Macken told councillors: “The secured fields are inclusive, they provide security and safety whether it be the disabled, the elderly bad on their feet, the worried and nervous dogs and owners, or the dog walker who can’t keep eyes everywhere.”
She added: “I’m hoping that my fields can be somewhere for people to walk their dogs in a safe and secure environment and that is all.”
