More dog owners taking pets to work

More dog owners are travelling to work with their pets, because they suffer from separation anxiety, new research reveals.

The research from Trainline shows one in nine dog owners have returned to work with their dogs, rising to one in five for Gen Z.

The data shows that Scots are more likely to take their dogs to work with them, with one in five Scottish owners commuting with their pets, compared to one in 10 across the UK.

However, 42% of pet owners worry about other passengers’ reactions when travelling to work on public transport.

Meanwhile, 27% of dog owners worry about safety and 35% aren’t sure how their pet will handle the noise.
