Lowestoft Canine Creche expands

Lowestoft Canine Creche, in Suffolk, has doubled its capacity after being inundated with requests from pet owners since the end of lockdown.

The company, which is part of the Suffolk Canine Creche franchise, has now built an extra playroom and outdoor space – with sofas, slides, sandpits, ball pits and splash mats – to increase its capacity to 80.

Owner Donna White told The Lowestoft Journal: “We have watched the animal industry grow since the pandemic and we have experienced a mass influx of new puppies and dogs.

“During lockdown a lot of people got dogs, but then they realised just how much work they are, especially when life got back to normal… But some days we are completely full and it’s devastating to turn people away.”

Lowestoft Canine Creche will hold an open day on Saturday 14 May for customers to take a look around.

White said she has big plans to eventually cater for overnight stays at the site.
