Plans for a new dog grooming salon in Laurieston, Falkirk, have been approved.

Applicant Mrs M Reid sought permission to convert an existing domestic garage at 32 Sandyloan Crescent as a dog grooming salon.

The plans stated: “The business will be operated solely by the applicant as a home-based operation. No changes are proposed to the exterior of the property, with the proposed work comprising the erection of an internal partition and minor internal alterations.

“The salon will be operated by one sole trader, with no additional employees. The business model is intentionally small-scale and low-impact, with one dog at a time and no group bookings, by appointment only.”

The salon will have a maximum of five appointments per day.
