Lancashire farm seeks permission for dog walking paddock

East Lancashire farming firm J and S Bradley has applied for planning permission to turn a field into a secure dog walking paddock.

The plans to turn 0.4 acres of agricultural land at Farm House Farm in Burnley Road, Altham, have been submitted to Hyndburn Council.

The field would be fenced with post and wire stock fencing to six feet in height and access would be via a coded padlocked pedestrian gate. Two car parking spaces would be provided to the North-West of the site.

An open wooden shelter-style shed would provide cover for the field users close to the entrance and a tap for boot and dog washing will also be located at the field entrance.

Dog owners would book individual time allocations with 15 minutes provided for arrival and departure to prevent overlap.

The paddock would be open 8am until 4pm in the winter and 8am to 9pm in the lighter summer months.
