Kidderminster dog salon set to open

A new dog grooming salon is set to open its doors in Kidderminster, Worcestershire.

Owner Honor Farebrother is opening her first business called Oni’s Posh Pooches at Jelleyman’s Mill, on Puxton Lane, on 28 May.

Farebrother told The Shuttle: “I have a massive passion for dog grooming and I love dogs, so when the opportunity came up to share a salon space, I just decided it was the right time to take a leap of faith and go out on my own.

“We really are a one-to-one dog grooming business and I want to work alongside more nervous dogs and those some people might describe as ‘aggressive’. I find a lot of the time these dogs can be turned away, but they deserve to feel pampered too and the salon will offer them a relaxed environment so they don’t feel as stressed.”

She added: “I’m really nervous as I’ve never run my own business before, but I’m also really excited. Jelleyman’s Mill was also the perfect location for the business as there are quite a lot of events going on.”
