Isle of Wight’s first indoor doggy daycare set to open

The Isle of Wight’s first indoor commercial doggy daycare centre will open in Newport in September.

Poppy’s Presents, owned by Islanders Ryan Bennett and Alanna Norman, will open on the Riverbank Estate.

Bennett is a qualified trainer and behaviourist and runs Ry’s Dog Centre in Northwood.

Meanwhile, Norman is day care manager and health and nutrition specialist.

She told Isle of Wight County Press: “We are so excited to be taking the business to the next level and creating a much-needed all-year-round, council-licenced commercial doggy day care.

“It is also somewhere people can walk to when they have dog-related issues and worries.”

The new business will also become the HQ for Ry’s, which is currently an outdoors licenced centre built during Covid.
