Isle of Wight could get new dog walking facility

A secure dog walking and training facility could soon open in Newchurch, Isle of Wight, under plans lodged with the local authority.

Applicant Jenny Ware is seeking planning permission from the Isle of Wight Council to turn a former agricultural field at West Meath Nursery, on Winford Road, into the new facility.

The plans would see fencing put up and a mobile field shelter installed.

The site would be open from 8am to 6pm in the summer and 8am to 5pm in the winter.

Several objections have been received in response to the plans, with local residents voicing concerns about a potential increase in noise and traffic.
