Fareham’s Dog Day Care focuses on small and toy breeds
Fareham’s Dog Day Care, Hampshire, has held an event for small and toy breeds.
The two-hour event invited the pets for an afternoon of playing, puppucinos and attention. Tickets cost £10 per household and attendees left with a dog goodie bag.
Amelia Beards, owner of Fareham’s Doggy Day Care open the facility during the pandemic at just 21-years-old.
The building underwent a £30,000 refurbishment that saw the business extend into the unit next door, giving quieter dogs the opportunity to play and socialise without being frightened. The facility also has a swimming pool for dogs.
She told portsmouth.co.uk: “This is what a daycare should be. I absolutely love it. I have always wanted my own daycare that has always been the dream and I did think that that would be 30 or 40 years later, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.”
The company currently has approximately 200 dogs on the books and they charge £29 per day, but they also offer half-day sessions to clients. The facility currently employs 11 members of staff.
