Dunfermline groomer secures permission for home salon
Plan for a new home grooming salon in Dunfermline house have been approved.
Groomer Julie Aikman secured approval to run the business from her home on Blackwood Court.
The salon, which will be double glazed and insulated for sound proofing, will groom on average three dogs daily.
The plans received one objection from a neighbour, who raised concerns about noise, privacy, traffic, waste management, and the land certificate.
However, Fife Council concluded the business would have “minimal visual or amenity impact on the residential area”.
The salon will be open from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
