Dover council consults on extension to dog controls

Dover District Council is looking to introduce a new Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) on dog control.

The council is proposing changes on where people can walk their dogs and where dogs need to be on leads.

The new order proposes nine extensions to the current PSPO, which can be viewed here.

Dover District Council’s PSPO, which was introduced on 26 July 2022 and varied on the 15 of January 2024, also requires those in control of a dog to remove faeces.

The four-week consultation will run until 13 May.
