A new dog park and swimming pool has opened in Thorney, Peterborough. Lodge Farm has opened its second dog park following the success of its first dog park, which opened in November 2023. Water Paws, which is located at the farm on Crowland Road, offers a 4.5-acre field and a 10m x 8m doggy pool, with a beached entry and a depth in the deep end of 80cm. The pool is fenced off so users can choose when their dogs swim. In addition, the site features an on-site shelter, benches and obstacles for play and training, as well as complimentary dog treats. The farm’s two dog parks are being kept separate, with each having their own entrances, fenced off areas and staggered start times. Owner Roz Harper told the Peterborough Telegraph: “Our first one has been so popular that we decided to open a second one. Our main complaint was that people couldn’t get a space as weekends would fill up up to a month in advance. “We had a paddling pool last summer but we decided to open a second location and invest in a proper pool and I don’t think there’s anything else like it.” Bookings ensure exclusive use of the facility for up to 10 dogs.
