Dog boarder’s solar panel plans refused
Luxury dog boarder Pawfect Retreat at Moor Farm in Sefton, Merseyside, has been refused permission for solar panels on its roof.
Sefton Council officers refused the plans on the grounds that some of the panels would be too close to the edge of the roof. Planning law states that for permitted development rights to apply for solar panels they must be no less than one metre from the edge of the roof and generate no more than 1 megawatt of energy.
A planning report released by Sefton Council said: “While the application form states that the development would not exceed 1 megawatt, no information has been provided to substantiate this.”
