Derbyshire farm granted permission to open doggy daycare centre
Rosemere Farm in Buxworth, Derbyshire, is being allowed to convert part of its premises into a doggy daycare centre.
The Peak District farm applied last November to convert its existing stable and ancillary storage buildings into doggy daycare facility, which would accommodate up to six dogs. The farm already operates a cattery that accommodates 15 cats.
In its application, Rosemere Farm notes that the doggy daycare facility would only operate Monday to Friday from 7:30am until 6pm.
Although planning officers initially raised concerns about the traffic impact the new facility may cause, the Highways authority stated that there were no reasonable grounds for refusal in regards to traffic.
However, the farm has clarified that the facility would have ‘strict appointments’ for drop-offs, along with sufficient parking on-site meaning no vehicles would be parked on the narrow road.
