Cumbrian dog care business wins prestigious award

Ambleside Dog Walker, which covers the South Lake District, has won a Prestige Award for its second year in a row.

The Prestige Awards were launched to celebrate the small to medium-sized businesses and individuals that consistently offer excellent products and services to their local communities.

This year the judges were particularly impressed by the business’s wealth of experience and credentials, as well as their engagement in their local area.

Ambleside Dog Walker was set up three-and-a-half years ago by husband-and-wife team Nigel and Tamsin Rogers, after they left their management jobs to spend more time with each other and their dog Jasper.

The business covers Ambleside, Windermere, Grasmere, Hawkshead and everywhere in between and it specialises in providing varied adventure walks for dogs in a positive and calm environment.

Tamsin told The Westmorland Gazette: “We work hard to ensure that all dogs in our care are safe, secure, contented, and comfortable, whilst having an amazing experience with us.

“As dog walking is still an unregulated industry, it’s important in our profession to maintain high standards in caring for much-loved members of people’s families.”
