Colne dog grooming salon targeted by burglars
Grooming salon The Dog House in Colne, Lancashire, has been targeted by burglars, with the culprits causing £1,000 worth of damage and stealing around £1,000 in cash.
The Albert Road business was burgled on 19 February and a safe and a cash box stolen.
Owner Tony Evans said: “Police are sorting it out with the CSI team. They are analysing some footprints they have found.
“They came in, barged through the door and really damaged it. They grabbed the cash box and safe. They didn’t touch any other equipment.”
He added: “I don’t think we will get the money back. I want to urge people to be careful and put more security measures in place in the area.
“This is a significant loss for our small, independent business. We’re sharing this to warn other businesses and ask anyone with information to come forward.”
Anyone with information can contact the police, quoting log reference: LC2250220-0121.
