Campaign to overturn XL Bully ban given permission to bring High Court challenge
Campaigners looking to overturn the American XL Bully ban have been given the green light to bring forward a High Court challenge against the government.
The ‘Don’t Ban Me, Licence Me’ campaign has been granted permission for a judicial review, in an oral hearing that followed a previous denial of permission.
In a notice to followers, the campaign said on social media: “Our success in court today does not impact the current legislation.
“As it stands, all current legislation around the XL Bully is still in effect. We encourage you to comply with legislation.
“Do not put your dog at risk.”
The campaigners said more updates about the challenge ahead are to follow.

Yes, quite right. The XL Bully should be licensed and not banned in my opinion. Owners (and their dogs) should undertake mandatory training in order to get a licence.
