Bowburn dog grooming salon plans approved

Plans for a dog grooming salon in Bowburn, County Durham, have been approved.

Applicant Mrs Dominique Stacey sought permission to convert an existing garage at Beaumont Close into a grooming salon.

The conversion will involve removing the garage door and replacing it with a three-panel window, with the area below the window bricked up to match the existing house.

An internal door will be added from the hallway into the garage, along with an external door to the right side of the house.

In addition, the plans include creating a parking area at the front of the property.

The local council imposed conditions to limit potential disturbances to local residentials, including business operating hours and a one-dog-at-a-time policy.

The salon’s opening hours will be Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, and Saturday from 9am to 12pm.
