Borders dog walker wins approval for secure field

Plans for a secure dog field in Melrose, in the Scottish Borders, have been given the green light.

The proposal, on land north west of Pavilion Farm, will see a 6ft Rylock fence erected around the Ellwyn Glen Field.

Applicant Jennie Duncanson owns Newtown St Boswells-based Jennie’s K9 Crew dog walking business.

She said: “Super excited to announce that planning has been granted for my K9 Fun Field.

“The field will be a safe and fully secure area for the dogs to run and have fun. It will also be available to book online for private use once we’re open.”

Jennie’s K9 Crew, which launched in 2012, offer group dog walks to owners in Melrose, Galashiels, Earlston, St Boswell, Newtown St Boswells, and Melrose Gait.
