Bolton Council seeks views on dog controls
Bolton Council is consulting on its public space protection orders that are due for renewal.
The local authority currently has four public space protection orders in place – The Dogs Exclusion PSPO, The Dogs on Leads PSPO, The Dogs on Leads by Direction PSPO, and The Fouling of Land by Dogs PSPO – that are due to expire in October. The council is asking people to share their views to help them decide whether or not to renew the controls.
Councillor Ryan Bamforth said: “It’s all good bringing these measures in, but we need to make sure no one is negatively affected by this including disability dogs.”

If supported, the new PSPOs would come into effect from 20 October.
