Bishop’s Waltham kennels secures permission to expand

Three Oaks Kennels near Bishop’s Waltham, Hampshire, has secured planning permission to extend its business.

Applicant Colin Stoneman sought permission to build three new kennel blocks and two replacement isolation units with associated paddocks at the Botley Road site.

Family-owned Three Oaks Kennels has been operating for more than 20 years. It currently caters for around 70 animals and has a maximum licence to hold 121 dogs. As a result of the expansion, it could provide a total of 235 spaces.

It provides boarding for cats and dogs and has a doggy daycare facility.

The council received eight objections from residents complaining about “constant” noise, disruption and light pollution.
