Harwood boarder holds open day after renovation

A dog boarding facility in Harwood, Greater Manchester, has held an open weekend for  after undergoing an extensive renovation.

Farm Cottage Boarding – formerly known as Shelley’s Kennels – was taken over by new owners Alice Holt and Bill Brown four weeks ago. The facility now offers grooming and training facilities, heated accommodation, dog taxi service, cameras in each room, five exercise sessions per day, three secure outdoor play areas, and VIP suites with sofas.

Holt told Burt Times: “We wanted to create a one-stop shop and a real home from home and to help shatter the misconception that boarding kennels are all damp, metal cages.”

Farm Cottage Boarding, which is fully licenced, can cater for up to 38 dogs.
