Dogs Trust joins forces with Magic Classical for calming Bonfire Night playlist

Dogs Trust has teamed up with Magic Classical to provide a playlist to help calm dogs ahead of Bonfire Night.

The play list offers feel-good, relaxing music to help dog care professionals create a calm and soothing atmosphere for animals.

The playlist, which can also be found on the Rayo app, has been created following Dogs Trust’s advice that shows staying calm and using music to mask sounds outside can help improve behaviour during fireworks.

Dogs Trust’s National Dog Survey finds that 45% of respondents noticed their dog was not always calm when fireworks were going off.

The charity advises to stay at home with dogs during fireworks and plan for a cosy night in – put on the radio, close the curtains, create a safe space, and prepare with toys and treats.

Jenna Kiddie, Head of Canine Behaviour at Dogs Trust, said: “By tuning into Magic Classical’s Calming Pet Sounds you could mask scary noises, and if you are calm, your pooch is more likely to also feel relaxed.”
