Worcester farm seeks permission to extend dog walking fields
Church Farm, which owns a dog walking field on the edge of Worcester, has submitted a planning application to expand its facility.
The existing dog walking fields in Claines, which opened a year ago, have proved popular with pet owners which has resulted in new plans looking to use more of the 600-acre farm.
The farm has earmarked land off School Bank, in Claines, on the opposite side of the A449 to the existing dog walking fields as a potential site for its expansion.
The fields enable dog walkers to pay for the use of three acres of space surrounded by a five-foot fence in one-hour slots.
Rural Planning Consultant Ian Pick, who submitted the application on behalf of Church Farm, said: “The applicants are currently unable to keep up with demand and often find themselves fully booked and thus unable to take bookings.”
A consultation on the plans ends on 21 April.
