Canine professionals’ bodies honour the Queen

Trade bodies representing thousands of canine professionals have been paying tribute to the Queen as the sector mourns the UK’s longest-reigning monarch.

The Professional Dog Walkers Association said: “Our sincere condolences to the family and to the nation at this very sad time. We salute her exceptional service to our country. Thank you, Ma’am.”

In addition, the British Isles Grooming Association, said: “RIP Your Majesty. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family upon the sad loss of Queen Elizabeth II.”

Meanwhile, the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, said: “In light of yesterday’s sad news, and as a mark of respect, we’ll be taking a break from online activities.

“Thank you for your loyal service ma’am. You shall be greatly missed.”

Mark Beazley, Chief Executive at The Kennel Club, said: “We are honoured to have had Her Majesty The Queen’s patronage for 70 years and that she enjoyed and had attended our flagship event, Crufts.

“As a sign of our deep respect, the flag at our London office has been lowered to half-mast. On the day of Her Majesty’s funeral, The Kennel Club will be closed. In the meantime, our deepest condolences go out to the Royal Family and all whose lives she touched.”
