Multi-service company Beacon Barkers, located in Bromsgrove and Stourbridge in Worcestershire, has introduced a GDPR‑compliant streaming technology for customers using its boarding service.

Beacon Barkers Woof Watch gives owners the opportunity to check in on their dog during their stay using secure technology, without disrupting their dog’s routine or wellbeing. Initially the service is only being offered for selected kennels to offer owners regular visual updates during their dogs’ stay.

The service is only available at the viewing windows: 07:00-07:30, 12:00-14:00, and 17:30-19:00. The company said these windows ensure dogs remain settled while still giving owners the reassurance they need.

Beacon Barkers told customers: “With one, two or three quick daily check-ins, you can see your dog safe, settled, and probably ignoring you. All done through secure, live viewing, no recordings, no fuss.

“Because let’s be honest, you miss them more than they miss you.”

The service costs £5 for one five-minute viewing, £8 for two five-minute viewings, and £10 for three five-minute viewings.
