Brydale Lodge Luxury Dog Boarding Kennels in Barnard Castle, County Durham, is to close its doors later this year after almost a decade in business.

The kennels, which have operated for nine years and hold a five-star rating, will close on 1 October.

In a statement, owners Susan Wilkinson and Bryan Tweddall, said: “We will continue with the Pet and Livestock Services, walking doggies, visiting cats, feeding horses, donkeys, alpacas, guinea pigs, rabbits and meeting as many of your pet care requests as we can with our mobile service for Barnard Castle and surrounding villages.

“Do not forget that we do overnight pet sitting services too and without the kennels commitment, there will be more availability.”

They added: “Watch this space for news of new luxury boarding kennels soon to open close to Barnard Castle, where we hope you will be able to take your doggies in the future.”
